Redang Island

Redang is my favorite island to chill in Malaysia. I have been here 3 times already during past 3 years. You could go here through Kuala Berang. Normally I drove there and changed for old fisherman’s style boat to Redang.
Journey takes about 1 hour with slow boat and 40 min with speed boat. I prefer the slower one as it is more relaxing comparing to bumpy ride with speed boat. The island has sparkling clean water and superfine beach. Accommodation wise it depends on your budget. The long starch beach here has many types of accommodation. Mostly one package covers 3 days 2 nights stay there, food, boat trip and marine park admission fee.
Basically my activity there is just snorkeling. Over my stay usually enjoy snorkeling as much as possible. Normal trip will cover 3 snorkeling trips around the island. You can even snorkel along the beach. If you are lucky enough you might see baby shark at nearest bay.
Normally for island holiday I will equip myself with my LC-A, Frogeye and enough film rolls. Picture quality in the water is superb with Frogeye. These were my very first few pics I took there.
The highlight of the stay is trip to the marine park. The management of Marine Park primarily involves protection of the sensitive marine and terrestrial ecosystems by controlling the impact from human activities. And here is where the Frogeye keeps kicking without a fail.
