Qingdao Christian Church
written by saviorjosh on May 9th, 2008 (1 vote)

Located near Xinhaoshan Park ,the christian Church at No.15 Jiangsu Road is a famous piece of religious architecture in Qingdao. Built in April 1908 in the style of a German castle, the green metal roofed building is made of a bell tower and an auditorium. Formerly used by Germans for religious services, this church is also called the German Church.

Three huge clocks are set in three of the walls of the 39.16-meter high bell tower. With ceilings up to 18 meters high the two-story main hall is spacious and bright with a seating capacity of 1,000 people. I am not really a religious person. However, I will go there whenever I think I need peace.
