The place to visit is Odaiba, Japan. Odaiba is a large artificial island in Tokyo Bay and the spot for many great Lomographic shots. There is a man made beach, lots of shopping as well as weird attractions like the Tokyo TV building which a sphere shaped building or the miniature statue of liberty with Rainbow bridge as the backdrop.
There are also attractions like the huge ferries wheel which give you a bird’s eye view of Tokyo as well as Muscle Park – a theme park dedicated to being strong, to name a few. If you are lucky you might spot a wedding at the quaint chapel or a Japanese celebrity being interviewed. Odaiba also has a large convention center which holds events like the “Design Festa” http://www.designfesta.com/index.html where young designers showcase their work.
Last time I went a Lomographer had his work on display! During the day Odaiba is a shopping Mecca with several different shopping malls – one of which is in European style with a lovely water fountain. There are also lots of great places to eat and, of course, drink. At night Odaiba lights up and turns into a hot date spot for young Japanese couples! A great day out in Tokyo!
