My 2nd all time favorite place is THE HERMITAGE MUSEUM of corse! I used to work there for 3 years with regular breaks for traveling, but this place is always in my heart! It’s big, gorgeous, very diverse! Always smooth to shoot! Some rooms are illuminated only by natural lights, with no electricity or candles, and in winter or spring on rare sunny days I used to Lomo-hunt sun spots on the furniture and floors, my other eternal addiction are marble floors of Winter palace! U can’t find 2 similar floors there! Never! They all r all different, together with walls and ceilings! Mind blowing!
I also love Italian sculpture and of corse guard ladies! In every hall there is 1 old security lady who sits there not to let u touch anything! Some of them r real fashion freaks wearing amazing vintage clothes and make up! Wicked! And the counting for Hermitage workers is ahead of all the tops! And it costs only 1,7 euros – yes, it’s possible! But only for those who are blessed!
