Guan Yin temple

Guan yin is the bodhisattva – being who is dedicated to achiving enlightenment – of compassion as honoured by East Asian Buddhists, usually as a female. She is as well known as the Chinese Bodhisattva of Compassion. On the 1st day and 15th day of lunar calendar, people will go to her temple to pray and eat vegetarian, as the temple cooks vegetarian to share with the prayer.
I remember when I was small, my mom always brought me to this temple to pray for me, pray for my studies and my luck throughout the year. For every Chinese festival like Mid-Autumn Festival, Chinese New Year, Guan Yin’s birthday, there will be a lot of people who come to pray for Guan Yin for their luck or business or health. And at those festival there is a group of people which performs on the stage to entertain the kids and adults and it is also a type of Chinese traditional stage drama which tells stories and legends of heroes. And the most special thing about this temple is that the whole temple building is build without using a single nail. Recently the temple was under renovation and they are building a nicer temple. If you travel in Klang, Malaysia, be sure not to miss this special temple.
