Derrick & Team

It was my luck to have such a big network of friends, working in all kind of different fields. One day, a friend of mine who is working in a Media&Production company, Edan, called me up. However, he did not directly mention the reason why was he looking for me. Just kept asking if I have time on the coming Monday noon time, so I tried finding out his intentions.

Eventually, he was just too shy to ask me to be an actor or a person in his current Real Life TV show project, which titled ‘The Change-Over’. A TV show that changes-over a person’s hair from one original style to a total new-look style. Without any more reasons, I made a deal with him and promised him for the Monday noon appointment. I knew that must also be a Lomo time to shoot myself in the mirror. Monday, we met up each other at Maju Junction Complex in Kuala Lumpur. Edan came with a cameraman and a TV host, so they brought me in this very cool looking saloon, DERRICK&TEAM Hairdressing. After introducing Derrick’s team members and recording some shots of a Before Me. Sandy, a pretty and professional stylist then started to do my hair. She explained to the host that she is going to change me over to a funky and Japanese look hairstyle, with colors of mud and some blond highlighting stripes.

The place is cool and providing good service to the customers as well, they even served me tea and magazines. Sandy told me she was very nervous because there was a video camera which kept shooting and she is on TV, but that did not make me worry as I put my full confidence over to her talent. Derrick who is the owner and also the president of the team is a very nice and friendly person too.

During half way process of my change over, many members started to see some differences on me. After 2 and a half hours, I’d finally shown up as like another person. I was shocked and some customers were impressed too. It was a total change-over after all, Sandy was really satisfied upon her effort as well. She even styled me up more handsome before the interview. What can I say? This place is too friendly. For this impressive change over, I asked Edan to take a picture for me with Sandy with my LCA+ for remembering the happiness and the great moment of the day. Thanks to Edan, thanks to Sandy and to Derrick&Team Hairdressing for making this happen.
