Cours Saleya

When you are once in Nice, you have to visit the Cours Saleya. It lies parallel to the Promenade des Anglais which streches by the sea. Go there in the morning and have your breakfast in one of the multiple cafés. Sit down and have a cup of lovely latte and some french croissants and just look at people and enjoy the first warming sun.

Then stroll around among all the freshest flowers, vegetables and herbs (don’t miss the wonderful olives). Buy your picnic for the day with fresh bread, sausages some cheese and a bottle of rosé. In the evening it’s time to return for a drink or a late dinner in one of the open-air cafés/restaurants that has been opened under the market stalls. It’s touristic and genuine at the same time.
