“Enjoy an expedition through 3,000 years of chocolate history, either in reality by coming to the Chocolate Museum in the heart of Cologne” – this is what you get, when you walk in the riverside in Koln and stop just in front of the ship-like place, called the Chocolate museum.
Get ready, you happy sweetie-lovers – this is a place, where you should rent a flat (joking, of course). It is a museum, which has three main interest points. First of all, you will go to the places, full of some reading materials (on the walls, in the windows and so on) – this is where you get the idea, from where does the chocolate come from (from Cocoa, to be precise).
The second place – the making of chocolate. Yes, Lindt chocolate is produced just in front of your eyes and nose (you can smell chocolate everywhere) – you can even taste it, as people are very friendly and always give you something to be very happy (I got at least 3 different chocolate things). And of course, the last, but not the least – the real museum… It’s full of old-school paintings, commercials, different types of packages and so on.
Yes, you can find Milka cows there, and yes – there is a little cinema, showing chocolate content all the time… So, are you ready, or maybe, are you ready not to go there? Yes, it’s a real fight with yourself, and people from the museum know that. That’s why they have built a huge chocolate shop right at the exit of the museum.
