It’s one of our favourite places to dine, mainly because of the design and décor, you’ll wish your dining room at home was like this. A bank of TV screens behind the bar keeps the sports fans happy. The restaurant seating is mostly booths that seat 4, with cool dim lighting, very snug and cozy. The menu is the usual west coast fusion, I can only recommend the Steaks, and these are always good. Other items include Ahi Tuna, Endamame, and Fajitas. For drinks, Margaritas are popular, in many flavors.
Vancouver has a big film industry and it’s rumored that Cactus Club hires only actresses, so the service is always good, not cheesy. Although it’s a chain, each location is unique. The 575 Broadway room is modern and a bit spacey, but dim with glowing signs of obscure statements. Over the kitchen reads “The House of Yes”, as is typical in Canada, you can ask for any menu item to be modified. The restrooms are funky too with “exotic” foot flush control.
Dress code seems casual, in Vancouver people don’t really dress-up unless they want to.
