Zypliai Estate

Zypliai estate has eleven buildings. Nowadays only three buildings are used. In one building, where 150 years ago they used to keep horses, there is a museum now. In the other building you can find an information centre. They are repairing some of the buildings at the moment, so you can go inside and take a look what is done.
In 1845 there where an empty space until Jonas Bartkovskis came and started to build an estate. Later, in 1897 all wooden building burned down, so only in 1912, after Bartkovskis death, the estate was bought by Potockis. During the First World War, the estate was held by Potockis wife. Once it was a kind of hospital, later a school and even divinity. Today you will find a place where you can stay for a night or just take a look around. By the way, the Zypliai estate park is almost the biggest park in Lithuania. In the park you will find some sycamore trees, oaks and etc. The most known tree is 360 years old oak. Before you go there take a look at the estate plans, maybe you will find out that there will be a concert, a play or even a camp.
