So if you ask me what is the best city on Earth to take Lomo pictures I’ll have to say Sydney (AU). Don’t know why no one here wrote about Sydney yet. But ok, I’ll be the first one. …
This city is fucking amazing. Sometimes it’s cold, but not too cold. Sometimes it’s hot, but not too hot. Sometimes it rains, but you still have a great light for photos. And most of the times you have a beautiful sunny day. So basically everyday is a great day to take Lomo pictures. Take you camera everywhere. Darling Harbor, The Rocks, The Harbor Bridge and the Opera House are the main attractions. If you want some beach landscapes visit Bondi Beach and Manly, they are not too far from the city centre and they’re gorgeous.
Looking for urban and cosmopolitan pictures? Now we are talking! Go to King Street in Newtown and Oxford Street in Paddington, the most hip suburbs in town. And if you go to Paddington don’t forget to visit the Just Shoot Shop http://www.lomography.com.au/ I bought my fisheye2 there. =)
For last, but not least, you should visit Darlinghurst and keep your eyes (and lenses) open to the Mardi Grass.
