When we travel by air or by ground, there are some places we never to pay attention to. Places where we are just another peasant, where nothing happens. But when you pay attention, these places are a source of non conventional images; in fact the perfect field for a lomographer. The Mexico City – Querétro Highway it’s one of these places. Right now I’m doing an exhaustive photographic record of that road, with a sponsorship I obtained.

This highway crosses of the most economically active zone at the State of México, some of the biggest shopping malls and industrial zones are connected with it. But the bus stops are no-one’s land, a mixture of informal commerce, publicity and urban art.

So, if you ever travel to Mexico City, you could take a short tour to the highway. Of course this is not a traditional tourist spot, moreover you could describe it as chaotic… but believe me, some great images are waiting us there. I have explored, travelled and shot it for years, `cause I used to live just a few steps from kilometer 40 and I had studied always in another place.

Visit it any time of the year, with rain it’s especially amazing.
