If you like dancing in the clubs, then probably there is a little chance, that you will like it. If you are keen on watching others dance, then probably there is a big chance, that you will like it. In other words, New Baltic Dance festival is all about modern dance and art itself. Different acts, from indoors to outdoors and cruising in the city while dancing…

Sorry for all that info, but it is too difficult to tell about it, so I am going to speak only about one act this time. I was in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania, where lots of New Baltic Dance acts take place and was happy to participate in the “Living… in da city” project, which is organized by Swiss dance group, called “Da Motus”. The idea is simple – dancers move and make different movements in the real life, in the city, where the traffic is not stopped and people are passing by. Believe me, the faces in the public transport busses when they pass those yellow strangers were more than enough to say that this act rocks! Antonio Buhler and Brigitte Meuwle – the names of people, who are standing near this project. 4 people, dressed like visitors from Mars (or moon, or whatever) move at once in different sides, movements and so on. They stand up near the building and do different movements, then the gather in the middle of the street while cars and busses are passing by and do those crazy movements again. Sometimes they do different movements to make the so called figure of 4, and sometimes they make the same movements simultaneously, as I guess they have MP3 players and they know when to do the same movement at the same time. All of them… Well, you better see the pictures and I believe you will get the idea.
