The place that you must see when landing in Japan is not the hi-tech city of Hello Kitty, but instead the view of rice fields and the pace is slow. The location you should see is Narita, Japan. Narita city is located next to Tokyo’s International Airport and is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the big smoke. Narita is packed with temples and tradition. Sushi restaurants are plentiful and the locals are friendly.
If you find yourself with a few hours to spare before or after a flight out of Tokyo then get off a few stations early at "Narita’ and take a look around this old world Japanese town. Be sure to take the long windy road all the way to the end – the temple that awaits you is well worth the journey. If you’re not into temples, well the pond with hundreds of turtles is also worth the trip. And when you get thirsty grab a bottle of "ramune’ – a traditional Japanese summer fizzy drink! You’ll see lots of people in kimonos, taiko drums being played, exotic foods to be eaten and rising sun scenery for lurking Lomographers to hipshot. Nartita – an all round great (not very well known) great Lomo location.
