Maple Hill Park

Maple Hill Park. It was a typical extremely hot summer day here in Southern California. My mom wanted to conserve energy so she turned off the air-conditioning in the middle of July!!! Who doesn't have their air-conditioning turned on in 110 degree Fahrenheit weather? Well, as a solution my older brother and sister and I went to Maple Hill Park in our huge neighborhood.

We knew that this specific park was shaded by the shadow of the mountain (or hill), so we went for a quick drive to take a breather and to chill. It was not just a normal break, but a Lomo break. My brother wanted to take my Supersampler out of its dusty box to the world, so we brought it along. There, we went on the swings for about half an hour and just lingered for another around the basketball courts, the tennis courts, and played in the jungle-gym and play houses. It was a really great afternoon. And from time to time, wind collected around the foot of the hill creating summer breezes through out the rather small playground.
