Do you know the MACBA in Barcelona? What is it?? It’s the famous “Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona”, great place of contemporary art, great building, and great place where the daily part of the Sonar festival takes place. It’s located near of the “Plaça Catlunya” and the “Ramblas” in the centre of the city (Pl. dels Angels, 1). Easy to find, just follow the signs… The building was inaugurated 1995 and is the work of the architect Richard Meier.
A fascinating great white building with harmonic forms, lines and curves, outside and inside as well. To visit a contemporary art exhibition in such a place who expresses itself so well the contemporary architecture of the 90’s is a great pleasure. To look but also to take pictures, to play with the forms and the sharp light coming from the roof on huge white walls…. So, discover the exhibition that takes place at your visit, but also admire the whole building of the MACBA! :)
