Liberty Avenue is the main street (avenue) in Kaunas. As far as I can count so there are about 20 restaurants and cafes and more than 50 shops. At one end of the avenue there is a church and on the other it turns to Vilnius Street, which goes to the old town.
By the way, in Liberty Avenue at this time there are two universities, one school, three hotels and two museums. Going down the avenue, in the middle of it you will see a fountain, which is held as the center of town for majority of the people who live here. Best time to come here is between 8 am and 10 pm, because later at night it’s not very safe to walk alone, so if you are with at least four buddies then you can walk down the avenue even on the midnight. In this avenue you can find very interesting spots like parks and old bromines. If you are posh, then go to the Kaunas State Drama Theatre, this theatre has been reconstructed, so now all seats are waiting for you. Usually in Liberty Avenue there is a lot to do, because this is a street where all festivals, concerts and other feasts all hold like Motorbike show, Kaziukas fiesta, Kaunas Jazz festival and etc.
