First of all, I would like to mention, that Koblenz is only the main town, where you can stay during your vacation trip to the land where two rivers - Mosel and Rhine - meet each other. The region has lots of castles and is especially beautiful in summer (you can see that last time I was there it was quite a cold spring). What to see? First of all, choose one of hundreds river-trips - you just have to get near the river and then you will see lots of advertisements.

They offer different trips – from all-day-long till 2 hours long short-trip. During the river-trip you can watch beautiful mountains and capture castles with your Lomo cameras. What else, you can have a really good time in the ship, because they have everything you could wish – ice-cream, cold beer (it’s Germany, my friend – sure they have got beer!), cold drinks and so on… But river-trips are only one thing – the town of Koblenz is even better. It has got a very huge old-town, full of old buildings, cathedrals and churches. Koblenz is about 2000-years-old, so you can just imagine what they have there… cultural monuments, historic buildings, cozy lanes and narrow alleyways, the relaxed and happy atmosphere on its squares and river promenades make Koblenz one of the best places to visit. By the way, it’s just about 100 km away from Frankfurt Hahn airport, and the bus ticket costs about 10 euros, so it’s cheap enough to take the vacation tour to this city.

What I like most, is the triangle, which looks like the front of the ship – it-s the place where to major rivers meet each other, and there is a huge statue of the horse and it’s rider, and you can even get into the top of it (yes, inside the horse). What else to see? Well, go to the town-hall, which is right in the center of the city, because they have got the tourist information center there. Where to eat and drink? As you can see on my colorful images of the café just in front of the Tourist Office. They serve really nice pancakes and hot-wine… probably beer too; So, viva la Germania, cause we all know, that cheap flights make us happy for the possibilities to see unseen places…
