For a great view of Stockholm, take the Katarinahissen in Sodermalm. Katarinahissen is an elevator, built around 120 years ago, which takes you up about 40 meters to a restaurant called Gondolen above Slussen.

The restaurant serves excellent food, but it is slightly expensive. The view on Slussel (a connection point for the subway) is marvelous. You also have a perfect view on Gamla Stan (the old town) and a part of the haven. At night, it’s magical! You can admire the Stomatol sign, made with light-bulbs: it is the first advertising sign of Sweden (1909). It is open every day. The cost is 10 kr (about 1€)
