Japaratinga is one of the most beautiful beaches on the northeast coast of Brazil. If you want to spend some time with friends in peace, this is the place. Streams, reefs, really white sand and an amazing sea just waiting for you to take your Lomo pics. It’s almost a wild beach, so it will be only you and your friends and lots of coconuts. Enjoy!s

Remember to visit and take pictures of the fishermen’s village and the Nossa Senhora das Candeias Church built by the Dutch 300 years ago.
Just keep one thing in mind: local people are not too friendly. But don’t worry, just respect them and their beach and everything will be fine. Trust me! =)

• How to get there:
  Japaratinga is located on the north coast Alagoas. 115 km from Maceió (the main city of Alagoas) and 140 km from Recife (main city of Pernambuco).
  If you are in Maceió, take the AL-101 North Highway and just follow the signs. It’s easy to find. And if you are coming from Recife, take the BR-101 South Highway. When you get to Cabo City take the PE-60 and follow the signs.
