Handicraft Ceramic Atelier

In a place where culture, history, fire and tradition are moulding unique pieces made of clay and cooked in giant oven, you’ll be able to be in touch with the rich Brazilian past. The ceramics handcraftsmanship is alive inside theses houses, old red brick ovens and mountains. A beautiful place surrounded by mountains (Serra do Mar, Serra da Mantiqueira and Serra da Quebra-Cangalha). The city starts where once was an old King’s warehouse, in the middle of the Estrada Real (the road where gold was transported to the Port, in Paraty-RJ).

In the modern times the city is an interesting place to visit, with small town and very charming local people (not to mention the folklore, with local dances and festivities). Come to taste the food, smell the fresh mountain air, but never forget the Ceramists. See their art, made with clay and fire and of course passion.
