I know its ultra touristy but a trip to Venice isn't complete without a gondola ride. There are millions of things to shoot along the way and you definitely get a different perspective of Venice actually being on the water.

I know its ultra touristy but a trip to Venice isn’t complete without a gondola ride. There are millions of things to shoot along the way and you definitely get a different perspective of Venice actually being on the water.

Traversing through the narrow canals and passing
by the famous houses (Marco Polo and Casanova’s of course!) really adds to the thrill. For a little extra charge you can even have the gondolier sing serenade to you and/or commentate a little about the history of the canals and the different types of gondolas. Both informative and fun! Though the prices are steep, the ride definitely adds a special
flavour to the beautiful city. It cost approximately 80-100 euros for 3 people for a 30 min ride (OUCH!) but it was definitely worth it. Prices differ depending on the season and of course the mood of the gondolier on that particular day. It’s tough to negotiate with them so it’s best if you just bite the bullet and enjoy. :)
