Georgia Guide Stones

A strange and mysterious place, surrounded by evil forces, sits upon a high hilltop in eastern Georgia, USA. What is this place? Some call it America's Stonehenge. Some call it the work of the devil. People came from far and wide to receive psychic messages from it. The locals ignore it. It is, The Georgia Guide Stones.

Growing up I watched a show about “mysterious and unexplained” places in the United States. This one place stayed in my mind for almost fifteen years before I was able to track it down and experience it first hand. The Georgia Guide Stones are located in Elbert County, Georgia, along highway 77. The Stones are in a grassy field about 9 miles north of the town of Elberton. You can’t miss them. Parking, admission… everything is free. This is not a tourist trap. You’ll be lucky if a car even passes by while you’re there. The guide stones were built to help survivors or an atomic holocaust. Apparently the creator (unknown) thought that the few surviving peoples of the Earth would congregate there. Who Know? There is more history to this place that you can read about there.

The most interesting thing about the place is the new 10 commandments for post-apocalyptic Earth. I don’t want to spoil them, but here is one: “Be not a cancer on the earth – Leave room for nature – Leave room for nature…” Needless to say, there are still many local churches still angry about the stones.

To receive a psychic message: 1) face the stones, 2) put to feet shoulder length apart, 3) extend your hands out in front of you, 4) one palm up, one palm down, 5) wait. I did not receive a message, but when we arrived, it was very cloudy and almost raining, but after I attempted to get a message, the sky cleared.
