Fukuei Cape Lighthouse
written by alice26992 on April 27th, 2008 (1 vote)

Fukuei Cape Lighthouse lies at the very northern end of Taiwan Island. Fukuei Cape Lighthouse often has to deal with fall and winter mist as well as with an unstable climate. To solve the problem, Japanese added a foghorn in the lighthouse, which can warn the boats when the mist is too strong.

For more than a hundred years, tall Fukuei Cape Lighthouse has been a unique landmark in along northern coast of Taiwan. In addition to reminiscent sightseeing, one can also enjoy cheap and fresh seafood at Fuji Fishing Port. The lighthouse looks like a small LEGO. It is simple white. Spectators can not get in there, but you can climb a mountain and see the lighthouse from the distance.
