Flea Market in Dituva village

Only 20km from Klaipeda the west city of Lithuania there is a small village Dituva, which has one of the biggest Saturday flea market in the area. The market is located in the fields near the gardens of Dituva. It’s seems that local people doesn’t grow food on the fields, but use the field for selling second hand stuff. At the first glance you can’t see the end of it, it should be about 1 square km.
The most of the area filled of clothes, shoes, handbags and 1/3 filled of things. You may find there any kind of clothes, from 60s vintage to nowadays, from casual to very fashionable stuff. You just need time, some hope and luck. Don’t take many cameras, only one small and light as you’ll be busy with picking up the ‘pearls’. It is not like in Europe the vintage stuff is all hanged up in the row, there is everything so messy, the clothes are on the ground, on the cars and only some are hanged up. The prices are really low, you may find your favourite vintage thing just for 2 euros. Believe me it’s possible! Nobody knows that the ‘vintage’ is and that the vintage things in west Europe cost much more than the new things. Try to bargain as well. When you will be done with clothes go for things: antique, old-school or just mundane. The warm season is the best time to come: from May to September. If you will be near the sea don’t miss it, it is really worth to visit.
