Dropzone Airport Luetzellinden

The Dropzone (an airport that is used by skydivers/airport Luetzellinden in the middle of Hessen, approx. 45 km northern of Frankfurt is a very (dog)friendly and comfortable place to spend a weekend. Whether you are a skydiver, a hobby pilot or just interested in watching or doing a tandem jump – you’ll certainly be pleased with what you find there.
When the weather is good (meaning: more or less blue sky and no rain and/or storm) you can meet plenty of nice people sitting in front of the small container buildings, having fun, chatting and of course watching the skydivers and airplanes or skydive/fly themselves. The skydive club also has a nice bistro where you can eat absolutely delicious meals at fair rates. In the evening you might get into the middle of a BBQ party, sometimes including an open-air cinema with the free fall films of the day or the season. Be prepared to have a good laugh!
If you get enough of the busy chatter you could just stroll around the airport and find interesting Lomographic spots, mostly old stuff lying around that just waits to be captured.
