Downtown Area

I visited my sister out in Washington DC for a week a while back and grew weary of the mall and all of the tourism that I’d been dealing with for the first few days. I decided to take my camera out for a stroll threw the city. No cabs, trains, metros, just feet.

For some reason I didn’t seem to point my camera down at all. I really liked making landscape type shots out of the tops of buildings. I walked around for most of the afternoon and found a lot of old buildings that were colorful, being worked on, or just had a neat feel to them. All I took on my walk were black and whites. I didn’t pay attention to the street names or where I went, mostly the directions I headed so that I could find my way back. I would have dropped a trail of bread crumbs but we all know how that turns out. Any who, there are some really neat shapes and angles photos to be taken. This was one of the highlights of my trip and I will certainly check out more of the area on future visits.
