Les Bains de Pâquis, one of the most trendy place in Geneva. The incontrovertible place to see. In summer it’s very crowded, everyone looks for a little corner to put his towel, it smells like tanning oil all over the place, and you have to watch your feet to avoid burned creatures on the floor.
But if you go there in the morning or in the working hours, you can have a nice salad or a carrot cake and have a walk to the small light house at the end of the dock. If you want to take some sun, you will find nice spots pretty much everywhere, and for you girls, if you want to feel more comfortable and take off you top, you can go to the women’s side. In winter, the women’s side becomes a nice cozy room, warmed up with an old stove. It smells like in a chalet, and the view on the lake is gorgeous. At night it’s one of the best and most popular places to eat fondue in Geneva, but you have to make a reservation!
This is one of the most diverse places of the city in social terms. People come from everywhere, businessmen eat at the same table with hippies, kids play with the ducks and extremely dark-tanned naked old ladies talk around a coffee. From September to March, the sauna opens. You can get massages as well, and eat delicious breakfasts on Sunday mornings.
