Awesome Albums: 'Worlds Within: The Secret Life of LomoPurple' by clickiemcpete

The LomoChrome Purple is famous for giving photographs a surreal and otherworldly vibe, but in this featured album, one of our community members had actually created imaginary worlds using this emulsion. Check out the photos after the cut!

We had our first glimpse of clickiemcpete ’s amazing work taken using his Nikon FM3a loaded with LomoChrome Purple XR 100-400 when one of the shots from this album was hailed Photo of the Day last month. Upon closer inspection of Worlds Within: The Secret Life of LomoPurple, we were immediately blown away by the resulting images and the amount of work that went through their creation. Clickiemcpete wrote in detail:

Then I rewound the roll and used two different fisheyes and misc lenses for the second layer. I overexposed just a little bit but will try this technique again with some different films.

Awesome work, clickiemcpete! Here are our picks from this album:

The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
