PYHOF: Remembering Woodstock

Though Woodstock was merely a three-day event, its legacy certainly lives on to this day.

The Woodstock Music & Art Fair, more popularly known as Woodstock, is such an iconic event in the history of music that hearing its name alone immediately brings to mind images of unadulterated, hedonistic fun. It’s one of those festivals that any music fan would have loved to be part of (what a pity for those of us born in the years after, then!). The three-day festival, which opened on this day 45 years ago, was graced by more than 30 performers and a staggering 4,000 attendees. Although mostly controversial, Woodstock is inarguably legendary.

And so without further ado, we present to you our playlist for this week. We’ve selected a few live tracks recorded during Woodstock for inclusion in the album, “Woodstock: Three Days of Peace and Music” for your listening pleasure.
