It’s been 40 years since 75-year old Harry Mueller established his now famous camera repair shop in Santiago, Chile. Over the decades he has accumulated more than 4,000 cameras, projectors, and lenses of different brands and from different countries that people have brought to him, “The Camera Magician,” for repair. The video below was created by Florian Dournes and allows us a look at Mueller’s impressive workshop, which Dournes has described as “Aladdin’s cave”, that would surely have you guys nothing short of amazed. In addition, Mueller himself talked about how he doesn’t confused in the seemingly dizzying arrangement of the gear in his workshop, why he thought incorporating repairing digital gear into his practice was “a terrible change,” and his plans of putting up a museum “… show what existed and with which perfection it was made.”

And so, without further ado, we present the video in full below:

“I feel satisfaction when I get a non-working camera that others have failed to repair and that in the end I can say, ‘It works.’ It is my biggest satisfaction” – Harry Mueller
