alienmeatsack's Lomochrome Purple EBS

What happens when you expose both sides of the Lomochrome Purple? As fellow lomographer alienmeatsack has put it, "Magic is what happens." Check out the results of his little experiment after the jump!

If you’ve been with us in the community long enough, then you probably already know what exposing both sides of the film, or EBS, is. If not, well, this tipster by EBS expert hodachrome should help you! Anyway, some of us have already tried our hand on it using color negative films. But what about other emulsions, special ones, say, the Lomochrome Purple?

This is where another fellow lomographer alienmeatsack comes in. Shortly after posting the results of his DIY redscale LomoChrome Purple (or “Purple Scale,” as he calls it), he shared with the community the results of his first attempt into exposing both sides also of the Lomochrome Purple in his Home, and we have to say that his shots look nothing short of amazing! According to him, he shot the first side with the Sprocket Rocket and the other with the LC-A (“I think…”). He related, “I did use the rule that the normal side’s sweet spot is around 200 ISO. And I recently learned from shooting the other side, that it’s perfect spot is around 25-50 ISO. I picked 50 since it was pretty bright and I wanted to keep it in the zone.”

Drop by his LomoHome to see the rest of his Lomochrome Purple EBS results. Awesome work, alienmeatsack!

First! (Sorry I couldn't resist that.) I hope some of you try this, it really is worth the trouble and makes your Lomochrome Purple film just explode with amazing colors!

Well done and thanks for sharing this wonderful tipster. However, at SGD20 a roll...I'm not that keen on experimenting the Lomochrome Purple. Maybe, someday..

@muhamad_haiz_shamsudin Thank you! As far as using LCP to experiment, I think it's worth it. The pink side is really cool and lays well over the LCP's normally exposed emulsion :D

@chooolss and @redfactor Thanks! Sorry these replies took so long, I didn't even realize I had comments on this article. I need to pay more attention and spend less time dilly dallying :D
