Please tell us a little about yourself.
Hey, my real name is Tamara and I live in a little town in Germany. I learned photography in a little Portrait studio. I’ve been taking pictures for over 20 years now. At the beginning of course it was analogue and then went digital but in the end I went back to analogue. Now I shoot both but my heart belongs to analogue photography!
What have you got planned today and where are you going?
On this day I only planned to enjoy the great weather and use my new toy the Holga WPC and the Belair Instant Back. Often I go out without any plan. Sometimes I plan a portrait shoot, but not often.
Please itemize everything and tell us why you’re bringing each of them, or why they’re special.
Belair with Instant Back – It’s new and after managing the problems in the beginning, I love it. She is really big with the back but I really like the results.
Holga WPC – This is new too and I want to try to use her. I don’t like to take a tripod with me but with the Holga you should do it and after some rolls, it isn’t a problem to take it with me because the results came out well. On this day I loaded a Lomography 50-200 Redscale inside it.
Horizon Kompakt – She is always a good partner to go out but on this day I want to fill the roll which was longer inside. I take her to my holidays because for me is the perfect camera for any city-trip. On this day there was a normal 200 color film from DM inside.
LC-A – One of them are always with me because of the size and the automatic exposure, so I can take pictures everywhere and everytime I want. I optimize this one with a MX-function. On this day I was a Fuji Sensia 100 inside
Konstruktor – This little plastic SLR I built and designed on my own I love because each time I see the pictures I take with her, I’m absolutely impressed by what she can do and she is a light camera I can take with me. Especially beside the Belair and Horizon! On this day there was an Agfa CT Precisa and then the Kodak Ektachrome 64T inside.
Some rolls of film, so I can load every camera with a new one! Agfa CT Precisa is one of my favorite slides to cross process especially for the Konstruktor. Fuji Instax Wide for the Belair Instant Back. Fujichrome MS 100/1000 for the Holga WPC and it makes so great colors when I cross process it. Adox Color Implosion is a film for good light with great colors. Kodak Ektachrome 64T is one of my last rolls and I love this film.
Some color filters – for the Konstruktor and Belair when I need more colors on my pictures.
A tripod – for the Holga WPC because you really need it!
Holga Close-Up Lens – for the Konstruktor when I want to go near something.
Cable release for the Holga WPC
Sunglasses – I need it often and i have more than one.
I don’t like the most bags for cameras or the good ones are really expensive. So I bought a normal cheap bag with many little pockets and a great insert from designstraps.de which is simply great because I use other bags when I don’t like it anymore or when it’s broken.
