The Lomography LC-Wide is a great travel companion if you want something light and fits easily in your pocket.
Previously I liked to travel with a DSLR, but during this trip to Macau I decided to pack light. I traveled solely with the LC-Wide, which is so much lighter than a DSLR, and I fell in love with it. However, the limited amount of exposures forced me to be extra cautious of image composition.
For me price has always been a concern. If I wanted a full-frame DSLR with a wide-angle lens, they come with a hefty price tag. But with a film camera it’s a totally different story. With LC-Wide, I am able to achieve the effect I want, all with an affordable price.
The LC-Wide’s angle lens was so broad that I had things I didn’t expect getting inside the frame, such as my finger. But generally I had fun shooting with it. It is a great companion camera if you ever decide to travel light.
All these images were scanned using the Lomography Smartphone Film Scanner. Please excuse the image quality; this has been my first time and I am still getting the hang of things.
