Literally millions of photographs are taken everyday, and millions more will be taken tomorrow, a large portion of which will be forever lost in the deepest recesses of the internet. This is where artist John Stezaker’s views of the world being over saturated of photos comes from and this is where his art blossoms. Using old images from books, magazines, and postcards, he makes art that tell new stories. Through his juxtaposition of different images, he is able to convey an entirely different meaning altogether.

Check out a couple more of his collages below, and an interview he did where he talks more about his art, and the re-appropriation of images he does.

I liked some of these and others not so much. After listening to his ideas and why he does what he does, I understand them more.
