Twosday Tuesday: Purple Water Lilies

Here at Lomography, we always like looking at the creative and random photos submitted by our community members in our downtime. And, amusingly, we find that there are a lot of snapshots that bear a striking resemblance to one another – be it in the way they were composed or in idea – even though they were taken in different parts of the globe!

Our featured twin lomographs of the week have water lilies as their subjects. Both, too, were shot using the Lomochrome Purple 400, one in 120mm and the other in 35mm!

The photo above was shot by the United Kingdom’s anafaro in Lisbon, Portugal with the medium format camera Belair X 6-12.

Meanwhile, this snapshot was taken by ihave2pillows of Hong Kong with a Canon EOS Series camera.

Tune in next Tuesday for the next of twin photos! In the meantime, check out our Twosday Tuesday series in the Lomography magazine!

Thank you! I am very intrigued by how different the colours and tone turned out. Was it the angle? Time of the day? Actual colours of the leaves? In anafero's artistic shot, the waterlily flowers remain the stars; whereas in mine, the leaves catch the eyes more.
