PYHOF: Celebrating J.R.R. Tolkien with The Lord of the Rings Soundtrack

It’s the birthday of J.R.R. Tolkien today and to celebrate his life and works, PYHOF features some of the heart-thumping, awe-inspiring and high fantasy tracks from the movie series!

The Lord of the Rings has got to be one of the best (if not THE BEST) fantasy series of all time. Everything that J.R.R. Tolkien penned into each book from The Hobbit to The Silmarillion is just spot on. The master of mystical tell-tale created wonderful worlds and beings for us to feast upon in his imaginative books.

These tracks from the Lord of the Rings series match the often majestic scenes in the movie adaptations. Galloping horses give out a thunderous message to orcs and goblins that riders are coming. Different daunting scenes come to mind when the fiery mouth of Mount Doom appears on screen.

Such wonderful composers, musicians and artists combined their talents to match J.R.R. Tolkien’s masterful creations. The foremost flag bearer of fantasy stories would have been proud to hear and see his magical world come to life.

Happy birthday to you, Sir Tolkien!
