Balancing Classy and Cool: Black and White Photographs with the LC-Wide

I guess it’s safe to say that some things just look way better in black and white. Take these classy-looking photos from the community as a case in point!

Old-timey photographers used them, artsy shooters prefer them and a horde of Lomographers in our community swear by them! Black and white film is always a great alternative when you want to take a break from color photographs. Introducing classy and vintage-looking black and white photos from the community taken using the LC-Wide.

You can still channel your inner Ansel Adams or Robert Capa when you shoot black and white photos! It doesn’t have to be nature photos of epic proportions or shots from the beaches of Normandy, a simple family gathering or street scene shots will do!

Photos in monochrome get a classy and vintage kick with the right amount of playfulness. Pair it up with the Lomo LC-Wide and you can get great subdued tones from the get go. This cool combo will surely make you want to try a roll and switch to monochrome madness!

And get this, if you grab a camera now at our Online Shop, you’ll automatically get 30% off on film purchases! No codes needed! Just head over to the Shop, buy a camera and get a load of film with it to get uber great savings! Get your fill now and even try out Lomography’s very own Lady Grey Black and White Film! I’d say that can make any Lomographer happy.

I love shooting in black and white! I'm hoping to track down some B&W to shoot on my Baby Diana.

B/W is tool of reduction. It does not only reduce the colors, it also reduces our point of focus to structures or something special in the picture. That is the magic or black and white.
