A combination of travelling of sorts and discovery defined 2013 for me. Be it a trip taken within the country (in this case, the tiny island of Singapore) or outside, they have been special to me in their own way.
1. South Korea
I fell in love with the natural landscape of South Korea as I embarked on a photographic journey to catch the autumn foliage in the country.
Bangkok is a city I always return to for good food and shopping, and the buzz.
Can the skies get any bluer?
While Bali tends to be over-commercialized in some areas, we found quieter parts where we could enjoy the sea and blue skies in the company of friends.
Plenty of scrumptious food and colourful old buildings in Penang especially George Town to satisfy one’s love for good food, heritage, and photography.
It may be tiny, but there are gems in the nooks and crannies of the island. I decided to look for a bit of history in 3 places: Kampung Buangkok (Singapore’s last surviving village), the dragon playground in Toa Payoh Town (one of the last mosaic sand playgrounds built in the 1980s and 1990s) and Pulau Ubin (a small island that is constantly resisting development).
