All I Want for Christmas: My Lomo Wishlist

If I'm on Lomo Santa's nice list, here are the things I want to receive for Christmas.

Let us say there is such a being as a Lomo Santa Claus, who gives analogue goodies to the nice kids of the Lomo community every Christmas. Let us also say that you were nice this year, what would you ask for?

I just got into analogue shooting at around October – November of last year, so my wish list for Lomo Santa that Christmas was still quite intensive. Among them were the Lomo LC-A, the Lomo LC-Wide and an instant camera. And while I didn’t get any of those in time for Christmas (perhaps I wasn’t that nice then), I definitely got them within this year.

So for this Christmas, here’s my wish list:

1. A Lubitel camera

The Lubitel is a popular medium format camera because it takes great and sharp photos. I like it for the sort of image you can produce with it, and compared to the other medium format cameras like the Diana and Belair, its lens is faster.

2. 35mm slide films

I’ve never shot with slide film, and I would really love to try it out.

3. LomoKino

All images are taken from Lomography Shop.

I have always loved making videos. Now if only I can shoot videos in an analogue way, that would be awesome! I always browse for LomoKino movies posted by the community. I hope one day I would be able to share my own creation as well.

4. Horizon Perfekt

All images are taken from Lomography Shop.

A lot of the most mind-blowing photographs I’ve seen here are taken with either a Horizon Perfekt or Kompakt. I would rather save up for (or get from Lomo Santa) a Perfekt one because of the extra controls, and I’m a natural light person so I would be able to make the most out of the 2.8 aperture.

These are the things I would ask Lomo Santa for (if I’ve been nice this year, that is). But don’t get me wrong, if Lomo Santa gives me something that’s not on this list, like a Hasselblad or a Leica, I wouldn’t complain at all.

Now, it’s time for you to share your wishlist!
