Rosy-cheeked young Daniel Radcliffe gagged and bound standing in a movie set

Daniel Radcliffe obviously didn’t manage to carry out his mischievous ways here!

This hilarious photograph was apparently shared by Daniel himself through his Google+ account early this year in a “Throwback Thursday” post. He wrote:

This is an example that could look like child cruelty but was actually one of the funniest memories from my first job! On “David Copperfield” when I was 10, I had been running round one day during the summer spraying various crew members with a water pistol I had, unwisely, been given. This is a photo of me playfully getting what I deserved… -Dan

“David Copperfield” was a British TV movie based on the novel by Charles Dickens. It was originally aired on BBC and was directed by Simon Curtis. For his first acting job, Daniel played the role of young David. It would be a couple years more before Daniel would take on the now-iconic role of Harry Potter in the famous movie series and work with Dame Maggie Smith as Professor McGonagall, but here he had already shared screen time with her as his great-aunt Betsey Trotwood!
