Photo via Livejournal

This photograph was taken by legendary rock ‘n’ roll photographer Bob Gruen in 1981. At the time, Gruen covered The Clash’s 17-night show at the Bonds International Casino in Times Square. An interview with The New York Times quoted the photographer as saying, “People ask me what’s the best show I’ve ever seen, and I include every show The Clash ever did.”
