Analogue Portraiture by Nicolette Clara Iles

Young photographer Nicolette Clara Iles’ portfolio boasts of impressive portraits.

Kent-based Iles works in London and, according to her website, “has completed qualifications in Art+Design and Photography.” It isn’t stated when exactly she started with photography, but her CV contains work from as far back as August 2011. But within two years, Iles has already built a reputable portfolio, having shot photos for various modeling agencies and fashion brands. Iles has also worked and modeled for photographer Katie Eleanor.

Apart from these, Iles has also managed to do what some photographers dream of doing: being commissioned to take photographs of musicians. So far, Iles has shot photos of the bands Hildamay, Hawk Eyes, and Japanese Voyeurs, as well as musician Josh Beech.

Iles takes photos featuring a wide variety of subjects, but it’s easily noticeable that portraits comprise most of her work. And, as you can see, Iles’ concepts for her portraits range from the usual to the out of the ordinary.
