Marlon Brando Strikes a Pose with his Bongos

It’s one of those rare photographs that show the enigmatic film legend in an intimate moment.

This photo of Marlon Brando was taken in 1953 at his home in Hollywood by renowned celebrity photographer, the late Sid Avery. Avery was said to have described Brando as “very relaxed.” This photograph was included in the book, SID AVERY: The Art of the Hollywood Snapshot, which also featured Avery’s photos of stars such as Elizabeth Taylor, Audrey Hepburn, James Dean, and Frank Sinatra in their private moments.
