The Many Lives of William Klein

Got an hour to spare? Check out this interesting documentary about one of the most inspiring street photographers of our time, William Klein.

“His pictures are like a fist in the face coming straight at you. You are not going to miss them.”

Do you see yourself still shooting images when you’re already 85 years old? Legendary photographer William Klein still does, and still produces gorgeous photos. I feel it is a bit unfair that we’re devoting all this talk and adulation to Ansel Adams, Richard Avedon, and the like without giving Klein the must deserved credit. He pioneered the art of street photography with his raw and gritty take on the life of New York in the 50’s. He is also responsible for some of most iconic fashion images of the 20th century, putting his models in street photography like situations – which was unheard of at the time.

Check out the video and marvel at the wonder that is the many lives of William Klein!
