A very young Carlos Santana fiercely performing onstage at the Woodstock Festival

The Grammy Award winning Mexican-American musician has always looked oh-so-cool with those fine guitar moves of his, but not always oh-so-young.

Carlos Santana has won 10 Grammys, and was ranked #20 on Rolling Stone Magazine’s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time, and rightfully so; his fusion of Latin American and rock music and mean guitar solos have outclassed generation after generation of musicians.

He’s been at it for quite some time, you see. Here’s a photo of him with bassist David Brown, performing at Woodstock way back in 1969.
