PYHOF: Embracing Your Inner Geek

Let’s face it, we all have our inner geeks. Whether our geekiness is geared towards comics or video games, science or art and pop culture (heck, you can even be a photography geek!), we shouldn’t be ashamed to admit that yes, there are things in life that we are really, really interested and heavily invested in.

Sorry, not sorry.

In the spirit of the San Diego Comic-Con, the largest comic book/science fiction/ fantasy/film/television/pop culture convention in the world, this week’s Put Your Headphones On Friday offering is a list of songs about being a geek.

From Beck ‘s 1993 single Loser, up to Weezer singing about Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler; plus the special participation of a ridiculously silly Doctor Who-themed song called Doctorin’ the TARDIS (that’ll probably end up as a guilty pleasure for some people), we hope you enjoy!

Loser by Beck
The Safety Dance by Men Without Hats
Weird Science by Oingo Boingo
In the Garage by Weezer
Hail to the Geek by Deaf Pedestrians
She Blinded Me with Science by Thomas Dolby
I’m The One That’s Cool by The Guild
Creep by Radiohead
I Heard Patrick McGoohan Escape by Times
Doctorin’ the TARDIS by The Timelords
