Ernest Hemingway Lounging in Bed with a Copy of The New York Times

And from the looks of things, he’s completely and unabashedly naked. His trademark beard is gone, as well!

The amusing photo above was taken by biographer A.E. Hotchner and was included in his 1966 book, Papa Hemingway. The two were close friends until Hemingway’s death in 1961.

In fact, you could say that Sir Hemingway’s nonchalance regarding his state of undress is a testament to their closeness, right?
