Throwback Thursday: Kodak Pony II TV Commercial

For one of today's Throwback Thursday features, allow us to take you back to the time when camera commercials were still part of your daily and nightly TV viewing. Watch a Kodak Pony II commercial from 1957 after the jump!

If you like our features on vintage camera ads on print, we’re sure you’re going to enjoy watching the clip below of a camera commercial from 1957, where the Kodak Pony II was featured on the Ozzie and Harriet Show. Everything in the video screams vintage and classic — the grainy black and white footage, the man’s speaking voice and spiel, the Kodak typography in the film box, and of course, the Kodak Pony II, which was marketed in the commercial as a camera “for people who are just getting started in color slides.”
