Cool Light Paintings Taken Using the Lomo LC-Wide

Now that you've figured you can shoot beautiful long exposures in low-light conditions and at night with your Lomo LC-Wide, there's one more thing you should try with the wide-eyed analogue wonder: light paintings! Take a look at some cool examples taken by our fellow lomographers after the jump!

Simple long exposures alone will yield impressive results, but what if you want to make your LC-Wide shots extra interesting? The answer lies in the long exposure technique called light painting, something you must have heard about, or seen photos of here in the community.

Since you can keep your LC-Wide’s shutter open for as long as you want with a simple bulb mode trick, light painting with the wide-angled wonder is easy-peasy! Just place it on a sturdy surface or mount it on a tripod to keep it steady. Once you’ve pressed the shutter open, take a pen light or a light sparkler then twirl, zig-zag, or wave it around in front of the camera!

Looking for some inspiration to show you what you can achieve should you decide to do light painting with your LC-Wide? We’ve got a selection of cool photos shot by our very own community members! Take a look:

The Lomo LC-Wide boasts the newly-developed 17mm Minigon Ultra-Wide Angle lens. This 35mm camera wonder is the perfect companion for your photo expeditions. It produces eye-catching splashes of colour with astonishing saturation and contrasts with the added versatility of 3 different formats. Open up to a new photographic experience with the LC-Wide, available in our Shop.
